We are sad to inform you that we are cancelling all our events during November (Film Week, Guy Fawkes, Winter Watch and Open Space) following the announcement yesterday of a second national lockdown. We will contact all those booked to come on each event individually but please be patient as this will take a little time. The Advent Weekend that was due to run for the last weekend of November (27-29th) has been moved to the first weekend of December (4-6th), we will have to keep this under review in case the lockdown period is extended. The Youth Weekend has also moved to the 11-13th December. During the lockdown period we will not be open for visitors unfortunately but hope you will return to Othona as soon as it is possible. We will keep you updated and aim to put up Chapel services... Read More

It's about an ex-Lifeboat called St Cedd that acted as an escort boat whilst Dave was a volunteer at the Essex Youth Sailing Centre at Bradwell Waterside. Dave was involved with the Community here through his work with boats and helped repair a boat belonging to the warden here at that time. Hopefully some of you may remember him from then.
