Hello from all the team at Othona Bradwell. We hope that you are well and managing to enjoy the beautiful weather at the moment whilst still in lockdown. We are extending the closure of the Centre here beyond May until further notice. When the Trustees decide that we can safely open again we will make an announcement. This decision will be taken following Government guidelines and we will consider what adjustments we need to make here in order to safely accommodate members again.
We would really like to see you back at Othona as soon as possible. We hope that you have been able to watch some of the Chapel services that are posted from here on our facebook page and also been able to join with our weekly quiz nights on Fridays.
If you have already made a booking for an... Read More
Thank you for all your messages of support for the Community. We love hearing from you and sharing your experience.

Hello from all the team at Othona Bradwell. We wanted to update you that the Office at Othona will be closed from today until further notice. This is because the Trustees have decided that all the staff at both centres are now on the Government Furlough Scheme. This enables us to claim 80% of the wages from the government whilst we have a period of the Centre being closed with no income coming in. This will help to secure the long term survival of both Centres. We will continue to live on site along with our EVS team. We are permitted to do certain tasks in a volunteer capacity, which we will do. However we are no longer... Read More
Sadly we have taken the decision to extend the closure of the centre here at Bradwell until the end of May, this will include the May Half Term Activity Week (25-29 May). For those due to attend events during this period we will contact you directly to offer a refund if required. For those not on our mailing list please read a copy of the email sent out today. We hope to see you again soon as soon as things become normal again and we are able to open as usual. We will keep you updated on the status here.

Sadly the Thanksgiving service for Vera, that was due to happen on Saturday 4th April has been postponed until further notice. As soon as the situation changes and it is safe to gather again then we will rearrange it and let everyone know the new date.

During this time of uncertainy and isolation we are sharing our time in the Chapel with the wider Othona Community with a video blog. Everyday we will have a short reading and poem taken from Bishop Stephen Cottrell's book 'Striking Out- poems and stories from the Camino'. This is spiritual diary based on his pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain. You can join us virtually in the chapel by watching the video clips on facebook each day (https://www.facebook.com/pg/othonabradwell)
