You can have your say on the proposed new nuclear power station at Bradwell-on-Sea soon, when the first of stage of the public consultation starts. There will be a 12 week period with 15 public exhibitions and a dedicated website page for you to provide your feedback of these proposals. Further details are avaiable on their website:

We are greatly saddened to have to tell you that our dear friend Zoe Moran passed away yesterday afternoon. Zoe was a much loved member of the community here and a devoted volunteer. We shall miss her greatly. She was a wonderful friend at all that knew her, hard-working and a committed member of the community both here and in Luton. Amongst the many things that Zoe did in her life, a key part was acting as a foster carer, providing a safe and caring home for many children and she was a devoted foster mother and grandmother. She brought a sense of order and fun to the kitchen here and was a wonderful cook, it was a real pleasure to have her here to help. Tonight's Fireworks display has been cancelled due to the extreme weather conditions. We are really sorry to have to do this but feel that the present conditions mean we cannot do this safely.
We are sad to announce the death of Vera Higginson, just short of her hundredth birthday. Vera and Bernard came to the Community in 1963 brought like so many by Harold Johnson and they remained faithful members of Othona ever since. They were great workers and were part of the party cutting down the brambles during the first year at what was then our new centre at Burton Bradstock and members of the working parties which kept Bradwell going in 1980. Vera was also secretary to the executive committee for some years.

The Chair's notes from the recent Trustee & Wardens meeting in Burton Bradstock are now available to read, please go to the link below. A major focus of the meeting was the exciting proposed energy project at Othona Bradwell with the aim of making the site fossil fuel free, thereby reducing our C02 emissions by 95%. This will be achieved by the installation of a biomass boiler and a additional larger wind turbine.
