Rosie Sinden-Evans has contacted us and provided us with the following information:

Many members and friends of Othona will remember Robert Ricks who was closely involved with the Community from the 1980s until recent years. Robert's substantial input to the Community ranged from being one of our volunteer cooks to serving as a Trustee, becoming Chair of Trustees for a number of years. Robert is now quite frail and has moved to a nursing home.  He would be pleased to hear from people who remember him, some of whom may wish to be in touch during the festive period.  Please contact the Bradwell Office for his new address.

Please join us on Saturday 16th August from 10:30am to find out what is happening at the Bradwell centre and voice your concerns/opinions.  This will be followed by a traditional Othona lunch then the new warden David Jenkins will introduce himself, talk about his role, his ideas for Othona and be open for questions.  If you haven't met David yet this is an ideal opportunity to do so with friends over a relaxing cup of tea/coffee and cake.  If you wish to attend please let the Bradwell office know either by emailing or completing the form on the booking page.

From Chris, Kate and Amy Mulkern

On 11th May, we said goodbye to our mum Trish Mulkern. Trish and our dad Richard were long standing Othona members, serving for many years on the committees of both Bradwell and Burton Bradstock. Mum's funeral is on Friday 30th May, 10am, at Holy Trinity in Church Street, Churchover, Warwickshire CV23 0EW. Please email Kate_mulkern@yahoo.com if you plan on going, especially if you need accommodation advice for the night before. We will be scattering their ashes at Othona Bradwell later this year, and will say more about that soon for those who would like to attend.
