Personal Biography: 
Hi, I am Dan, the newly appointed Trustee Director for Compliance at Othona. I have worked in safety and compliance throughout my career, and am hoping to bring the skills I have developed to support the Community and both centres. I spent nearly 15 years working in London as an Environmental Health Officer, dealing with complaints about poor quality housing, noise, pollution, licensing, food safety and workplace standards. I spent a decade in the health and safety team at Westminster City Council providing guidance to businesses on how to comply with the law, as well as taking enforcement action against those companies who failed to protect people. In 2014 I left local authority and have worked in the hospitality industry since that time, mainly in the pub trade, giving similar advice. I have been most heavily involved recently in giving advice about COVID-19 restrictions and how sites could reopen safely. I live in Woking with my wife and two children, Chloe (6) and Ethan (3), which does keep me somewhat busy! In my spare time I am a reservist at HMS PRESIDENT where I work in the Logistics branch. I do enjoy running (if I can find an hour to myself) as well as cooking and baking in the kitchen for the family. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible, in person, at the centres.
