Saturday 5th August - Saturday 12th August 2023
Space is available on this event
Music week this year will be entitled 'Music through the ages', and will explore a whole range of different types of music, of different ages and from different genres. We will explore some choral music from the renaissance and baroque eras, as well as some more modern music written for musicals and other purposes. There will be opportunities to rehearse and perform instrumental numbers also, fitting with the theme, so nothing is off limits (aka if you play an instrument, bring it)! In addition, there will be evening activities arranged, including a specially commissioned music quiz!
This weekend will be suitable for both adults and children of all ages, and will culminate with a showcase of our musical endeavours from over the week.
This week will be facilitated by Nicholas Mannoukas, a teacher and musician in South East London, and a longstanding member of Othona. Passionate about making music accessible for all, this week will have something for everyone!
