If you want to find out more about the birdlife around Othona then please take a look at this blog post written by David Martin. It is well worth a read:
Article just out in the Maldon and Burham Standard about Angenita's fundraising swim last Saturday- 'Fundraiser has got the wind in her sails again after 20-year gap'
maldonandburnhamstandard.co.uk/news/19537254.blackwater-estuary-swim-helps-fund-new-wind-turbine/
Angentia completed her fundraising swim yesterday, repeating the same amazing feat as she did 20 years ago and managed to be 5 minutes quicker. Her swim across the Blackwater Estuary was to raise money to fund a second wind turbine here at Bradwell enabling us to reduce our carbon footprint even further. It's not too late to add your support if you have not already done so, please visit her fundraising page to find out more- www.justgiving.com/fundraising/angenita-m-teekens
Many thanks to all who have given, once we have the wind turbine you will have your name stencilled onto it by Angenita to generate an Artwork that will stand for many years.

If you are an NHS worker or a care-worker then you can get up to a 50% discount on one of our events. All you have to do is let us know where you are working and what your role is there. So far we have had three successful applications but the scheme is running until the end of December this year so there is still plenty of time to apply.
This scheme was set up by The Association for Promoting Retreats to thank NHS Staff and care-workers for their tireless care throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Last Sunday was the Chapel 100 year service with the Bishop of Litchfield preaching, you can watch this on the youtube link below:
