Monday 2nd June - Friday 6th June 2025
Space is available on this event
Following our enjoyable week last year Amanda and Angela are joining together again to lead a week of healing and wellbeing in the gardens of Othona.
We will be looking at the history of healing plants and herbs in the Peace and Herb Gardens and the Wildflower Meadows of the community and how other complementary therapies can help us find peace and harmony in our busy lives.
Following the rhythm of the community day, with shared meals, times in chapel together and of course swimming we will also have tours of the gardens, learning about plants and their histories with Amanda. Angela will help us to find a balance physically, mentally and emotionally with presentations on Bach flower remedies, reflexology and creative visualisations.
There will also be an opportunity to practise mindful knitting and contribute to the Quaker knitted blanket project.
Angela has been a Bach Flower practitioner for 28 years. She is a trainer at the Bach Centre in Oxfordshire and visits five other countries to train practitioners and trainers. She is also a lifetime member of the Association of Reflexologists.
Amanda has been involved in the gardens at the community for over 12 years and has volunteered in a variety of gardens for more than 30 years. She spent many years volunteering in the Tudor Herb garden at Kentwell Hall, Suffolk with gardener, herbalist and apothecary Sue Thompson.
