Environment Week

A week focusing on the natural environment and enjoying the great outdoors!

    Monday 31st to Saturday 5th August 2023

    Monday 31st July -  Saturday 5th August 2023

Space is available on this event

This week we will be designing and constructing a permanent labyrinth structure at Bradwell with the expert supervision of Penny Davis. There will be a labyrinth workshop to find out how these are used as a meditation and prayer tool.

There will also be outdoor activities for families led by Regina Ebner, co-ordinator of the  A Rocha partners in Action team, and Rachel Oates, manager of the Woodlands House of Prayer. These will include pond building, wild weaving, minibug hunts, fire making and damper bread cooking, beach exploration, bat detection, nature rally and much more.

Penny Davis is a Tutor with Trust links recovery College and a trained Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator. She is passionate about facilitating safe spaces for mental health recovery.

Regina Ebner is the Partners in Action coordinator for the Christian conservation charity A Rocha UK. She works on networking Christian organisations, places of worship, adventure centres, conference centres and farms on caring for their land, for nature, people and climate. Regina has a background in project development, team building and permaculture food growing. She has a passion for bringing people together to reconnect them through adventure, fun and learning to nature and the land.

Rachel Oates is passionate about caring for God’s creation and helping people connect with God through the wonder of his world.  Currently the manager of Woodlands House of Prayer, in her spare time Rachel is an enthusiastic amateur naturalist.  A background in engineering means she is also interested in all things sustainable.

Woodlands House of Prayer is a Christian charity rooted in prayer, committed to helping those in need of rest and restoration find new strength and hope through reconnecting with God, each other and nature.  We long for people to be revived, by nature, through fellowship, in faith.
